FINAL FRIDAY @ CAM Create Camps!
Wow! Where has the summer gone?! These little artists have made so many masterpieces this week- and this whole summer. We look forward to seeing you next time at The Cranbrook Art Museum. Stay connected with CAM because we offer workshops, Spring Break Art Days (registration opens in December!), and tours throughout the school year!
Mini Makers (Kindergarten) word of the day was Tapestry. To end the week, mini’s took a walk outside to gather natural objects for their watercolor tapestries. At the end of the day, they created beaded handles to hang these beautiful fabric pieces at home! Thank you for a magical week at camp, Minis!
DIY Textile Design (1+2) campers officially completed their weavings- woven on REAL looms! Wait until you see- you are not going to believe how amazing these are! In the morning, campers completed their identity flags by stamping patterns with handmade stamps- relief printing at its finest. Thank you first and second graders for a fabulous DIY week at camp!
3D Form & Function (3+4) campers became the ultimate designers today. In the morning they designed functional chairs and in the afternoon these designs came to life! These chairs are almost life-size, packed with color, texture, form, and function. Third and fourth graders- thank you for a magnificent week at camp!
Sculpt with Clay (5+6) campers packed up all their work today. They completed some proects- tied some loose ends together, glued some pieces in tact, and created posters with clay letters. This group was one of the most productive classes I’ve seen. Fifth and sixth graders- we will miss you! Thank you for a crazy-fun week at camp!
Ceramics & Sculpture Teens packed up all their projects, put the finishing touches on some clay pieces, added some embellishments to clay forms, and created some mixed media pieces today. We are so excited for you to see all the hard work they put into this week. Thank you, teens, for a lovely week at camp!
